My name’s Pam and I’ve put this website together as a place to plunk down a few of the things that define who I am.
For starters, I love to “do radio”.
On this website you’ll find samples of me doing that. I’ve included audio from 107.1 The Peak , an awesome Adult Alternative radio station in White Plains, New York where I am a current member of the airstaff, doing Saturdays and Sundays. I’ve also included audio from when I filled in hosting the syndicated rock radio show “On Tap with Nik Carter” presented by VH1 Classic. This was fun because as a syndicated show it meant I was heard on 47 affiliate stations across the country. Plus I’ve put some audio up of when I voiced “On This Day in Rock History” for the VH1 Radio Network and, what the heck, I’ve included a bunch of commercials that I’ve voiced over the years.
Taking pictures is another one of my passions. My cats are frequent – though not always cooperative – subjects. I adore animals, birds, plants and flowers and I love the beach. You will see all of these things represented in the photographs on this site. And, yes, they are for sale.
As far back as I can remember I always loved to write. When I was maybe 10 or 11, I put together a little local newsletter and made multiple copies with carbon paper. My parents’ friends were very kind to shell out a penny every time I decided it was time to publish. I kept a journal, not a diary. When it was time to go to college I chose the school that offered the best writing program in the New York State University system and majored in English/Creative Writing. I’d stay up til all hours of the early morning just – writing. More recently, I’ve written some articles for Patch.com, the New Haven Register and some other websites, though I’ve found that loving to write has also manifested itself in my work on the air. I may not have a pen in my hand or my fingers tapping on a keyboard but I’m writing with the words that come out of my mouth and into a microphone. Communication. Content. Entertainment.
My resume is also on this website to let you know some of the other things I’ve done. I’m always looking for the next adventure whether it’s in front of a microphone, behind the scenes, writing, producing, taking pictures…or something completely different.
